Day Service Activities
At BEMSCA we provide many opportunities for our members to try different activities whilst using the day service:
In the craft room, members are able to use the sewing machines and textiles to make items such as cushion covers or a new item of clothing, they are also able to draw and paint in the craft room.
Games such as Bingo, Chess, Dominoes, Bridge and Mahjong are played during the day care service and members are also welcomed to enjoy the grounds and gardens of Fairfield House and will often get involved, at least sharing their knowledge, in the community allotments in the summer months.
Every month, members are invited to listen to interesting talks and presentations, with guest speakers brought in to share something with the members of BEMSCA.
Recently, we received funding for new active activities. Tai Chi, Yoga and Dance classes have been available and will be again in the future. We also have new Table Tennis tables, which are enjoyed by BEMSCA members, both those who have played lots in the past and those trying for the first time.
On each day of the BEMSCA service, members enjoy a tasty, cooked lunch together.
The menu offered by BEMSCA reflects the different cultures of the world that make up our membership.
