Giving a donation to support BEMSCA

BEMSCA relies on voluntary donations to support its vital services. Supporting our work could not be simpler. You can give a one-off donation or set up a monthly gift.

Give one off or regular gifts online by going to https://localgiving.com/charity/BEMSCA.

How will your donation make a difference?

No matter how big or small your contribution, we can guarantee that it will make a big difference to the lives of BEMSCA members as they face the life challenges associated with ageing.

£10 will help provide a hot meal for one of our members at home

£25 will provide games and material used by members visiting Fairfield House.

£50 will enable one of our outreach workers to provide vital support to housebound members

£100 will enable five members to access community transport to attend the weekly day care.

£500 will enable BEMSCA to arrange an outdoor excursion for our membership

Getting your company involved

We want to work in partnership with companies and their employees from across Bath and B&NES to support our services for older people. Why not choose us your Charity of the Year, encourage your staff to run an event, volunteer or attend an event at Fairfield House.

Supporting a charity like BEMSCA through the workplace has real benefits to your company.

  • The 'Feel Good Factor' of involvement with a well-known, respected and liked local charity and positive feedback from customers and staff.

  • Spin-off marketing and PR opportunities resulting from their support.

  • Team building within the workplace by working together to support BEMSCA.

Here are some ideas about how your company can support BEMSCA.

  • Sponsorship. Give a donation to support our vital services. We can link your support to specific projects or our ongoing services in the community. In return we will publicize your support on our website, social media and to the local press.

  • Gifts in Kind. We are always grateful to receive gifts in kind that we can use as auction or raffle prizes. Alternatively, include one of our leaflets in any communication you are sending out to your customers.

  • Social media promotion – Share or like BEMSCA posts through your company Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts to encourage your customers to support the charity.

  • Volunteering. Talk to BEMSCA about how you and your staff can share skills and time to support the charity.

Corporate Sponsership
Trusts and Foundations

Income generated from charitable trusts is extremely important to BEMSCA. It enables us to continue our work providing practical support to those who use our services.

Funding can be donated to support our services as a whole or for a specific area of business such as our outreach work, day care provision or activities for older people, depending on the interests and priorities of the trust.

BEMSCA would like to thank the following funders for their valuable support

St John’s Foundation, Quartet Community Foundation, Nationwide Foundation, St Monica Trust, Ray Harris Charitable Trust, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Public Health England, Boule Charitable Trust, Fareshare SW, Healthwatch BANES, Phoenix Fund, Wesport, Virgin Care, Age UK BANES, UWE, Amazon, National Probation Service and Voices 4 Change England.

Donate in memory

In Memory giving allows friends and family to celebrate the life of a loved one by donating to a cause close to their heart. By making a gift In Memory to BEMSCA, you can help us continue to provide care at our weekly day care centre and at home for those people unable to get out the house.

There are many ways you can support us.

  • Sending an In Memory donation direct to the BEMSCA office.

  • Setting up a Tribute Fund in the name of your loved one

  • Ask for donation from friends and family at the funeral instead of flowers.

If you wish to collect for BEMSCA at a funeral, we can provide you with support materials that can be handed out or left on seats at the service. Most funeral directors will be happy to assist with this and we can send information directly to them.

Setting up a tribute fund

What better way of remembering someone special than setting up a Tribute Fund after they have passed on. This fund will enable family and friends to remember and celebrate the life of someone special.  You will be able to leave messages, share memories and celebrate the life of someone special. You can raise money for BEMSCA, and all income will be credited to your Fund.
